Schools ripe for data breach, expert warns


An expert has warned schools about the implications of gathering details on pupils via apps. Ross Anderson, a security engineering professor at Cambridge University, said it was “a matter of time” before large breaches of data protection were discovered, as schools were increasingly using computerised learning tools and data entry systems, with many unaware of the ramifications.
