Rip off care homes to face criminal prosecution

The Competition and Markets Authority has issued guidance to care homes making clear that those provides who fleece families through secretive fees and hidden charges could be breaking the law. Care Minister Caroline Dinenage said: “It is a scandal some of the most vulnerable people are being taken for a ride by a minority of unscrupulous care home providers. “I am determined to protect residents by stamping out unfair practices and secretive fees.”
