Dealing with coronavirus (Covid-19). How are we protecting you?

Coronavirus, or COVID – 19, is likely to have wide-reaching ramifications for businesses globally and solicitors are no exception. The various processes have traditionally relied upon a number of face to face interactions, but these will likely be restricted now that the World Health Organization has confirmed that we are experiencing a pandemic.

Our offices are strictly adhering to all guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and our staff are taking all preventative measures seriously.

Bendall And Sons clearly have a responsibility to protect our staff and those people with whom we come into contact with and vice versa. During this period of uncertainty, we have an obligation to reduce the level of in-person contact and although we already have digital interaction innovations in place anyway, there will always be instances within our business where this is not possible.

It is of course essential that we follow NHS guidance, and we have produced a risk assessment for our staff to follow. Where in-person contact is unavoidable, prior to meeting the following questions will be asked. These procedures may change in accordance with future guidance.

  1. Have you or someone in your household returned from abroad in the last 14 days?
  2. Are you or anyone in your household experiencing flu like symptoms?
  3. Have you or anyone in your household been either diagnosed with Coronavirus or currently in self isolation?
  4. Have you been in contact with anyone who has been tested positive or in the process of being tested for the virus?

Clearly, the underlying message is to keep calm and carry on. However, as a professional organization it is paramount that we can adapt to the changes we are faced with and above all keep you, our clients, fully informed. We have found the general public to be adaptable and resilient in adversity. We do of course rely upon your support and understanding through such turbulent times.

We will continue to adapt our processes in accordance with advice provided.
