Andrew John Geddes

Solicitor/Admitted as a solicitor in 1967
Andrew deals with Conveyancing, Wills & Probate and Commercial Law.
Andrew worked in London before joining Bendall & Sons in 1976
Andrew deals with his Clients in a friendly and clear manner and has many referrals.

Lyn Stonebrook

Licenced Conveyancer qualified in 1997
Lyn joined Bendall & Sons in 2017 and leads the Conveyancing team at our Mildenhall office and specialises in residential conveyancing, particularly new build properties. She was previously a Legal Manager for one of the large house builders.
Clients have expressed that they are impressed with Lyn’s thoroughness and professionalism in dealing with their matters, whilst also keeping them updated with clear and concise information
Outside of work, Lyn likes walking her dogs and going to the theatre and also does knitting for a charity and is a Treasurer to a local Christian charity.

Julie Hatter

Admitted as a solicitor in 2006, Julie previously worked as a secondary school teacher.

She specialises in private client work, dealing with wills and probate, powers of attorney and court of protection applications.

Outside of work Julie teaches and performs piano and runs a community choir.

Jacqueline Rae Spencer

Solicitor/Admitted as a solicitor in 2002
Jaqueline heads our Conveyancing team in the Newmarket office.
Jaqueline has a wealth of experience and knowledge in her field and is highly regarded and praised by her Clients.
For relaxation she is a keen Director of Drama, in particular Shakespeare, and even had a production performed at the RSC in Stratford upon Avon. She also likes to, read, paint, sew and all sorts of crafts.

Tania Bailey

Tania deals with Small Claims Debt matters under the supervision of Andrew Geddes. Clients have complemented on her prompt and efficient service.
Tania joined Bendall & Sons in 2002 to run their Finance Department, prior to joining Bendall & Sons she worked for a shipping and commodities law firm in the City of London, where she was also the Finance Manager.
She is also a member of ILFM (Institute of Legal Finance and Management)
For relaxation she likes to keep fit and socialise with friends and family.

Daisy Spencer

Private Client in our Newmarket Office
Daisy joined Bendall and Sons in 2012 having trained in in Private Client a long established Cambridge Solicitors and previously worked as a Legal Officer at Cambridge City Council. She specialises in Private Client, drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate and Court of Protection Applications.
She enjoys travelling and being near the sea.

Anthony Scott

Admitted as a solicitor in 2001

Anthony is head of the firm’s Family Law and Civil Litigation department and joined Bendall and Sons in 2012.

Anthony is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to assisting clients resolve their family affairs in an amicable and non-hostile fashion. He is an Accredited Family law Specialist with Resolution with many years of experience advising clients on all aspects of family law including divorce, separation, cohabitation and disputes regarding property, financial arrangements following divorce and/or separation, issues relating to children (including public law proceedings brought by Social Services) and also has experience assisting families regarding Inheritance Act claims.

Anthony has children of his own and having been through his own divorce is well aware of how difficult separation/divorce can be to those involved.

Nick Longford

Bendall & Sons are delighted to announce that Nick Longford has joined them as a Consultant in our Family Department.

As the former Head of the Family Department at Rustons and Lloyd, Nick has considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of divorce and family finances as well as matters of Domestic Abuse and disputes about the living arrangements of children.
Admitted as a Solicitor in 1979 he has worked in Newmarket all his career and has been at the forefront of Cambridgeshire & West Suffolk Family Law for many years, joining the local Resolution Committee when it was set up in 1989 and was the Local Chairman for many years and has been a member of a number of Resolution Committees over the years including the Law Reform, Finance and Domestic Abuse Committees. In 2005 he was elected to the National Committee of Resolution and moved through the senior posts in the organisation until becoming National Chairman from 2009 to 2010. Since then he has remained on the Domestic Abuse Committee and is currently Co-Chair. He is a trained Collaborative Lawyer, is an Arbitrator in both Children and Financial matters and has trained as a Family Mediator, though does not practice as such at the present time.
Married to Elizabeth with two grown up daughters and one grandson and is a keen supporter of the Newmarket Rugby Club and is also the Secretary to the Newmarket Trainers Federation.
