Property buyer sues agents over traveller neighbours

A man is to sue the estate agents who sold him a £280,000 flat but failed to tell him 20 travellers would be moving in next door. David Stanley bought the flat in Farnham, Surrey, in February this year – but just a few weeks after he moved in, the previously empty plot of land next door was filled by the group who threw loud parties every night, he said. Mr Stanley claims the agents knew this would happen but did not mention it, and the activities have devalued his property. He has lodged a formal complaint with the firm and has taken the case to the property ombudsman.
